Even during the high season, of July and August, one can always find a secluded spot on one of the beautiful beaches of Epirus as there are: Ammoudia, Agios Gianakis, Arilla Beach, Kastrosikia, Karavostasi, Ligia, Loutsa, Sarakiniko, Vrachos Beach, Monolithi Beach near Preveza, Valtos and Krioneri Beach in Parga and many small beaches between Sivota and Parga. Some of them you can reach only by boat. In Sivota you can rent a license free motor boat to discover them.

Parga, a amphitheatrically build village with island charakter, is one of the top destinations of the region Epirus. Every year tourists from all over the world are visiting Parga. Here you can find hotels and apartments of all categories, many fine restaurants and cafeterias. By airplane you can reach Parga via the airport of Preveza or Corfu. If you fly to Corfu, you have to take a ferryboat to Igoumenitsa and from there you continue by bus, or better

by taxi to Parga. Taxi is still cheap in Greece and the distance of 40km will cost you around 50 Euros. Another good solution is to rent a car. This way you can independently explore all the sights of Epirus.

Some of those sights are: the amphitheatre of Dodoni, which is even bigger than the one in Epidavros. The ancient roman city Nikopolis near Preveza, buildt by Augustus after the Romans beat Kleopatra in a sea battle in the Ionian Sea. Also visit the "Oracle of the death" Necromandeio and the river Acheron which, according to old myths, leads to the underworld "Hades". The famous Zagorochoria with it's traditional stone houses and the Vikos George is also worth to visit. Especially in the spring time a must for all nature lovers. Not to forget the "Silvercity" Ioannina, the capital of Epirus, with

it's beautiful lake and the castle of "Ali Pasha". In Perama, 5km away from Ioannina you can visit a breathtaking cave.

The region Epirus has a lot of rivers and lakes, therefore even in the summer time you will find a green and friendly landscape, waiting to get explored.
